30!!

Adam through the years

From birth......

To 1 year-old

To Pre-school with threats from Tara....

High School Grad in 1999 with his Grammie's

College Grad from Colby in 2003

To Now....it's been a ride and a half....

Today is Adam's 30th birthday and what can I say?  At this time, 30 years ago, he was 30 minutes old, resting in my arms after a grueling 45 minute labor (yeah, grueling wasn't the word....piece of cake was).  Red hair, chubby cheeks, and a great set of lungs.  A great completion to our family.  Happy 30th birthday, Adam!

Snowshoe Trek in a Blizzard

 Ahhh....January snowflakes!  Ripe at last
C'mon Mommy!  Keep up with us!
 Jett
 Jude

God bless young people!  Today is a snow day here in this part of Maine.  Actually most would call it a "Blizzard" day since you can barely see out the windows and certainly can not see what is on the deck oustide the windows.  Julie and her boys decided to get out their snowshoes and trek outside for awhile as only "kids" can do. She shared some of the pics with me...enjoy!

 Gram and her boys
 What?  I'm being good.
"Jett, help!  Gramps got me!  Help me get out!"

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve once again in Birtville.  Very quiet this year with just Julie and Alex with the boys, Art and I, Adam, and our very good friend, Michael.

 Come find me!
 I can do this
I like my Singamajig...

L to R: Nina, Nancy, Connie Looke, Charlotte Perillo
This year I was able to host our Nursing Faculty Christmas Party in Birtville.  This was just a sampling of the fun--the other pictures were too blurry!  I need to learn to focus or put the focus on automatic.

Jude and Jett also made a gingerbread house this week

St. Mary's Christmas Pageant 2010

Sunday, this past weekend,  during the 10 a.m. service, the children put on their annual Christmas pageant.  This was one of James' favorite holiday traditions, if not THE favorite. There were many tears amongst all involved from the cast and congregation because we were doing this without him, but oh so many laughs too!  The children were so cute in their costumes as they told the Christmas Story and the choir!  What can I say--one of the most beautiful singing groups ever, added plenty of music to the affair.  Here are some of the pictures Julie and Alex took of the children.

The Old Homestead aka "The Money Pit"

Remember the Tom Hanks movie the money pit?  Well, here is the Millinocket version of that.  It is also the home I grew up in and while I have very mixed feelings about selling this, I find that my loss has been greater with the sale of the camp a few years ago.  I think this is simply because Dad remodeled the house after I left home in1973 and the camp always remained the camp...with only minor changes.  This is where all my money has gone for the past 3 years....

Justin fights with a Tree

As many of you know, Justin had a fight with a tree Friday night on his way to Presque Isle....thank God that the truck was the only thing that was hurt....

Adam (Paulie) and Sadie (Juno) go trick or treating

Adam and Sadie went to their Halloween Party in October as the movie characters from "Juno". Sadie made their costumes....what a riot!
